Little Mexico taking part in fundraiser

Posted

Little Mexico at 211 E. Main St. is raising funds 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to benefit Dusk-to-Dawn Bereavement Services. The Bravo family and their staff will offer a wide variety of Mexican favorites and a portion of the day’s proceeds, whether dine-in or carry out, will support the local nonprofit.

This past year has been extremely difficult with 600,000 American lives lost to COVID. It is estimated that for every death to COVID, nine individuals left behind are grieving. Based on these recent estimates, it is possible we have more than 800 people mourning a loved one to COVID right here in Montgomery County! Cheryl Fuhrmann, grief counselor with Dusk-to-Dawn emphasized, “These numbers do not even reflect the many people who lost loved ones to other causes, but whose grief has been severely complicated by the restrictions imposed throughout these past 18 months. In short, the coronavirus has left in its wake, yet another unprecedented silent pandemic — a tsunami of persons suffering with loss.”

Counseling is available in person at 300 W. South Blvd., Crawfordsville or virtually 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and evenings by appointment.
