Chargers beat Cougars on the links
The North Montgomery girls’ golf team defeated North Putnam 211-236 at Twin Bridges on Tuesday night.
Grace Littell was the medalist for the Chargers with a 45. Morgan Swick fired a 54, Ella Stultz and Shayna Ratcliff a 56, and Maggie Yeager a 58. Grace Shrader fired a 62 and Rylie Koopman a 63.
Mounties win three-way meet
The Southmont girls’ golf team fired a 179 on Tuesday, defeating Tri-West (206) and Monrovia (240).
Macie Shirk was the medalist with a 38, while Addison Meadows shot a 39.
Taylor Grino fired a 47, Bailey Barker a 55 and Stella Snook a 65. Deverall fired a 57 and Kelsey Thompson a 48.
Hicks earns all Bi-County for Mustangs
The Fountain Central girls’ golf team competed in the Bi-County meet at Harrison Hills on Tuesday night — shooting a 236.
Aubrey Hicks shot 54 to earn all Bi-County honors. Nola Walls fired a 56, Cassadi Parks a 60, Emily Keeling and Hannah Parks each fired a 66.

South wins at Sheridan
The Southmont girls’ soccer team won 3-2 at Sheridan on Tuesday.
Lillie Odum scored a pair of goals and Shakhia Burks found the back of the net. Belle Miller had 12 saves.
“We played a very competitive game and I’m proud of our girls for playing hard the whole game and earning the win against a solid team,” Southmont coach Phil Keller said.
BOYS SOCCER
Athenians dominate Stars
The Crawfordsville boys’ soccer team earned a 9-0 Sagamore Conference win at Western Boone on Tuesday night.
Ryotaro had a hat trick with three goals to lead the Athenians, while Andrew Jones and Joseph Sanchez each had two goals and Manuel Olvera, and Thristan Callejas each found the back of the net.
South falls on pitch to CC
The Southmont boys’ soccer team opened the season with a 3-2 loss to Central Catholic.
Skyler Wood and Sam Berrecil scored the Mountie goals.
VOLLEYBALL
Mounties sweep Falcons
The Southmont volleyball team opened the season with a 3-0 (25-22, 30-28, 26-24) on Tuesday night.
Chelsea Veatch had 12 kills and eight assists, while Tayler Anderson had 13 digs and Elizabeth Conkright had 10 assists.
Reagan Remley added nine digs and four aces, while Makia Pierce had four blocks and Cheyenne Shaw had three blocks.
Chargers fall to Trojans
The North Montgomery volleyball team was swept by Covington (25-8, 25-10, 25-9) on Tuesday.
Annabel Anderson led the Chargers with three kills, while Piper Ramey and Madi Welch each had four assists. Mallory Morehouse had four digs.
