Chargers fall at Danville

The North Montgomery girls’ soccer team fell 6-1 on the road at Sagamore Conference foe Danville.

Teegan Bacon scored the lone Charger goal.

“I am very proud of our effort tonight,” North Montgomery coach Julie Hodges said. “Tonight’s game was a very competitive game until 18 minutes to go. We went into halftime only down 1-0 and it was 3-1 with 18 minutes to go. Our defense was playing very well, and Sydnee Turner had an amazing game in goal. As the game progressed we were able to get more offensive chances and started to be able to find passing lanes to get through Danville’s defense. At the 18 minute mark, we hit a wall. It was only our 2nd game, and Danville’s 4th, it was on turf, and it was a hot evening.”
