LOCAL ROUNDUP: Cville boys soccer and South volleyball wins, Chargers volleyball falls on road

Athenians pick up road SAC win

Crawfordsville went on the road and defeated Western Boone 7-0 in boys soccer Tuesday night to pick up a Sagamore Conference victory.

Nick Wolcott led the Athenians (1-0) with three goals, while Chris Olvera, Joseph Sanchez, Marshall Horton, and Andrew Jones all found the back of the net. Olvera dished out a pair of assists, while Wolcott, Dirk Oshel, and Joseph Sanchez each assisted on goals. Goalkeeper Landon Timmons had a clean sheet with three saves.

 

Mountie volleyball wins at NV

The Southmont volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-14) win at North Vermillion to move to 2-0 on the season.

Lexi Nelson led the Mounties with 12 kills, while Kaley Remley added seven. Sidney Veatch had five aces, and 25 assists.

 

Chargers fall to Trojans in volleyball

North Montgomery traveled to Covington Tuesday night for its volleyball opener, and fell to the Trojans 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-8). 

Grace Little led the Chargers with three kills, while Haley Burton had six digs, and Khloey Surface had four. Gracie Chapman had eight assists.
