Mounties fall to Wolves

Southmont hit the road Tuesday to take on Parke Heritage and fell by a final score of 52-37. Belle Miller led the Mounties with 15 points and Dori Frederick added in 12. Southmont (4-5 0-1 SAC) returns to action next Tuesday as they travel to Bethesda Christian.

Swimming

Chargers split with Hotdogs

North Montgomery hosted Frankfort in their home opener Tuesday. The Chargers split the meet with the Hotdogs as the girls took home a 103-57 win, while the boys fell 93-59.

North Montgomery returns to the pool next Tuesday as they will host Benton Central.

Athenians split with SAC foe WeBo

Crawfordsville swimming and diving hit the road for the firs time this season Tuesday as they traveled to take on Sagamore Conference foe Western Boone.

The Athenians split the meet with the Stars as they boys picked up a 128-46 victory while the girls were defeated 109-73.

The Athenians return home Thursday to welcome the Seeger Patriots.

Mounties compete in tri-meet with Cougars and Falcons

Southmont welcomed North Vermillion and North Putnam on Tuesday in their home opener.

On the girls side the Mounties came away with a sweep of both the Falcons and Cougars winning all three relays. Adri Smith, Faith Allen and Bailey Barker also took home wins for the Mountie girls.

Over on the boys side, Southmont split the meet by defeating North Vermillion and falling to North Putnam. Logan Hartman and Tyler Petroski picked up individual wins for the Mounties.

Southmont will be back in action next Tuesday for a Sagamore conference battle with Frankfort.

Mustangs sweep Bison

Fountain Central hosted Benton Central and the Mustangs had a successful night in the pool, coming away with a sweep of the Bison.

The girls took home an 84-71 win while the boys were victors 91.5-66.5

The Mustangs will host Seeger next Thursday for a WRC contest.

Wrestling

Mounties victorious over Trojans in season opener

The Southmont wrestling team opened up their season Tuesday by winning 10 out of 14 matches to beat the Covington Trojans by a score of 60-21.

Brier Riggle, Thomas Woods, Noah Benge, Jeffrey Pine, Gerald Hutson, Marlin Williams, Kaden Newgent, Micah Kiger, Wyatt Woodall and Collin Martin were the 10 winners for the Mounties.

The Mounties will travel to Western Boone on Saturday for the Webo Duals for five sagamore conference matchups.
