Mustangs XC 2nd at WRC

The Fountain Central boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both competed and finished second in the Wabash River Conference meet on Tuesday.

The boys’ were led by Carson Pietrzak’s second place finish, while Kyle Mellady was sixth, Jacob Rice was ninth, and Justin Butts 10th. Nathan Solomon was 14th. 

On the girls’ side, Tyler Bowling led the way with a seventh place finish, while Angela Gonzalez was 11th, Courtney Sims 13th, Nadya Rahm-Bradford was 17th, and Katie Hurt 24th.

Mounties fall to Patriots

Southmont volleyball dropped a 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-22) match to Seeger on Tuesday night.

Mustangs beat Panthers

The Fountain Central volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-19) win over Riverton Parke on Tuesday to celebrate senior night.

Alexis Griffin led the Mustangs with 10 digs, five kills, and five aces, while Reagan Oswalt had 13 digs, 10 kills, and four blocks. Trinity Linquist added 17 assists, and nine digs, and Marley Massey had 20 digs, and Larissa Bowers had six kills.
