Athenians take down Wolves on course
The Crawfordsville girls’ golf team defeated Parke Heritage 215-240 on Monday evening at Crawfordsville Municipal Golf Course.
Bailey Mittal led the Athenians with a 43 to earn medalist honors, while Evie Redding shot a personal best 46. Gwyn Redding fired a 59, while Sadie Walker and Carli Payne each shot 67.
“Bailey and Evie both had some stretches where they were able to put together four pars in a row,” Crawfordsville coach Tony Thomas said.
Crawfordsville returns to the course on Thursday at Cloverdale.
Charger golfers lose to Tiger Cubs
The North Montgomery girls golf team lost to Greencastle 203-218 on Monday evening.
Morgan Swick and Grace Shrader each fired a 52 to lead the Chargers. Grace Littell shot a 54, while Ella Stultz fired a 60. Maggie Yeager had a 61, while Shayna Ratcliff shot a 64, and Rylie Koopman a 65.
North Montgomery is back on the course at Rocky Ridge on Wednesday against North Putnam.
Chargers fall at Covington
The North Montgomery boys’ soccer team fell to Covington 9-1 on Monday evening.
The Chargers are 0-1 and back on the pitch Thursday night at home against Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m.
