Chargers fall to Tigers

The North Montgomery baseball team dropped a Sagamore Conference contest 9-5 at Lebanon on Wednesday night.

Lebanon took a 7-0 lead in the first inning, and never looked back.

Jacob Braun led the Chargers with two hits.

GOLF

Mustangs win match play

The Fountain Central boys’ golf team defeated Parke Heritage 4-2 in match play style on Wednesday afternoon.

Chargers beat Gophers

The North Montgomery boys’ golf team defeated Clinton Prairie 193-217 on Wednesday night.

Hayden Turner led the Chargers with a 39 to earn medalist honors. Alex Chapman fired a 47, Haze Kashon a 54, Thomas Fritzen and Drew Norman 55s and Jacob Hughes a 58.

TENNIS

Chargers battle in loss to McCutcheon

The North Montgomery girls’ tennis team lost a 3-2 non-conference match to McCutcheon on Wednesday.

The duo of Joys Davis and Kaitlyn Greenlee defeated Breanna Beck and Hannah Hart 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, while Allison Guard and Courtney Engels teamed up for a 7-6(10-8), 6-3 win over Emma Clarkson and Olivia Carithers at the No. 2 spot.

Sydnee Turner lost 6-3, 6-1 to Brianna Jackson at No. 1 singles, while Carlie DeSmet fell 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to Amanda Pendleton at No. 2 singles, and Paige Hudson lost to Jacoby Cummings 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 3 position.

SOFTBALL

Mustangs pick up WRC win

The Fountain Central softball team downed Wabash River Conference foe Attica 4-2 on Wednesday.

Maddie Medley and Kendal Rahm each had two hits and drove in a run. Shelby Marshall also had two hits.

Kendra Earlywine pitched three innings and Kacy Kirkpatrick four innings, both allowing a single earned run.

The North Montgomery softball team fell 19-3 to Sagamore Conference foe Lebanon on Wednesday night.

Rachel Smith, Makinze Rominger, and Cascie Keller had the lone hits for the Chargers.

Mounties fall to Warriors

The Southmont softball team was one-hit by Savannah Jones in a 17-1 loss at Sagamore Conference foe Danville on Wednesday.

Marissa Craig had the lone hit for the Mounties.
