The Southmont volleyball team secured its second straight Sagamore Conference win on Wednesday by beating Danville 3-2 (25-22, 13-25, 25-11, 20-25, 15-9).
Sidney Veatch led the Mounties with 15 kills, 12 assists, 11 digs, and seven blocks, while Kaley Remley added 16 digs and 14 kills.
Chelsea Veatch had 14 assists, Natalie Manion 20 digs and Makia Pierce five blocks.
McCartney wins 3-way
North Montgomery's Elijah McCartney won a 3-way cross country race against Sheridan and Tri-West on Wednesday with a time of 17:37.
