Bacon sets record in loss
North Montgomery junior Teegan Bacon broke the single-season goals record in a 10-2 loss to Sagamore Conference foe Tri-West on Monday night.
Bacon scored two goals in the loss, bringing her season total to 23 as the Chargers fall to 5-4. The record breaks the previous record of 22 set by Bacon last season.
“Wee struggled tonight against a very talentd Tri-West squad,” North Montgomery coach Julie Hodges said. “We didn’t adjust well to their formation, and we could not control the middle of the field. It was a good chance to play against the best team in the conference to set up what we can learn and improve on in the last couple weeks of the season before heading into the sectional.”
