Mounties stay perfect
The Southmont girls’ basketball team pulled away in the second half on Thursday night to defeat Attica 58-34.
The Mounties are 5-0 to start the season for the first time since 2003-04.
Southmont is back in action next Friday at Sagamore Conference foe Danville.
South sweeps in the pool
The Southmont girls’ swimming and diving team swept Attica and Covington on Thursday.
Cassidy Bowlin, Mallory Murphy, Megan Scheidler, Bailey Barker, Adriana Smith, Jordan Stanley, and Faith Allen all won individual events.
On the boys’ side, Trent Jones won a pair of events.
