Athenians sweep Frankfort

The Crawfordsville boys’ tennis team beat Frankfort 5-0 on Thursday.

James Murphy beat Edwin Wainscott 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Wyatt Motz beat Jake Swinford 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and James Novak beat Aidan Hudspith 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. The duo of Thatcher Gambrel and Ziair Morgan beat Elijah West and Eli Grasham 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, while Jude Hutchison and Thomas Bowling defeated Jackson Ray and Isai Jiminez 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Mustangs beat Tiger Cubs

The Fountain Central boys’ tennis team beat Greencastle 4-1 on Thursday.

Gabe McCollum beat Eli Hardwick 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, while Wes Jackson won 6-4, 6-1 over Jacob Carter at No. 3 singles. The duo of Carter Merryman and Brayden Prickett beat Jay Glotzbach and Eli Callahan 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Noah Armstrong and Lukas Miller beat Andrew Adams and Evan Harris 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

North sweeps Attica

The North Montgomery boys’ tennis team swept Attica 5-0 on Thursday.

Will McKinniss beat Caiden Jefferies 4-6, 6-3 (9) at No. 1 singles, while Hayden Turner won 6-2, 601 at No. 2 singles over Noah Blankenship, and Beckett Martin won by forfeit in the No. 3 spot. The duo of Nate McCoy and Brookes Walters won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles over Jake Garrett and Elliott Rosswurm, while Haze Kashon and Owen Utterback beat Gage Greeson and Drew Mandieville 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Mounties sweep Tigers

The Southmont boys’ tennis team beat Lebanon 5-0 on Thursday.

Adam Cox won 6-0, 6-2 over Jaohn Gascho at No. 1 singles, while Luke Tesmer beat Matthew Barker at No. 2 singles, and Luke Watson won at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-1. Mason Hall and Caden Jones won 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles and Chayce Howell and Harrison Haddock won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
