Helen Hudson, president of the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County, conducted the 2020 LWVMC annual meeting via Zoom. Myra Dunn Abbott was elected second vice president and Joyce Burnette treasurer. Elected directors for 2020-22 were Mark Frank and Gail Pebworth. Continuing board members for 2020-21 are: Tina Osborn, first vice president; Karen Gunther, secretary; and Vicke-Hudson Swisher, director. Dave Long organizes candidates forums. Nominating committee for 2021 will be Nick Hedrick, chair, Nancy Bennett and Shelbi Hoover.

In addition to the many voter service activities, the LWVMC voted to continue five major local study and action areas: economic health, land use, local government, health care (continue observing and studying mental and physical health care in Montgomery County) and education.

Hudson reviewed some of the highlights of the 100th LWV anniversary year, Legend of the Legendary League programs, “Go See Seneca Falls” road trip, local radio programs, Lunch with the League monthly programs (now also available on the LWV You Tube Channel) and many voter service programs and activities.

Copies of the 2020 LWV Government Directory for Crawfordsville and Montgomery County, edited by Nancy Bennett have been distributed electronically. Hard copies are available upon request.
