A Crawfordsville man is facing a felony charge of child exploitation/child pornography.

Dustin Nathaniel O’Neal, 31, was arrested Wednesday morning after police served a search warrant at his home in the 2100 block of North State Road 47.

An investigation began
Dec. 1, 2020, when the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in regards to an online child pornography incident. After a lengthy investigation, a search warrant was obtained and the search yielded several electronic devices. Sheriff Ryan Needham said those devices will be sent to the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for forensic examination.

O’Neal was incarcerated in the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of child exploitation/child pornography, a level 4 felony. A cash bond was set at $3,000. He also had an outstanding warrant in Montgomery County for criminal mischief. A cash bond of $1,000 was set on that charge.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Indiana State Police ICAC Task Force, Crawfordsville Police Department, Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office and Indiana
Department of Child Services.
