Margaret “Peg” McKinsey of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, 2020, at Franciscan Health of Crawfordsville. She was 86.
Peg was a member of First Baptist Church and the widow’s grief group at the church. She liked to sew, go to festivals, play euchre and go to the casino. She worked at the creamery, then at Mallory’s and for several years at Ingress-Plastene.
Born June 27, 1933, at Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Raymond Cedars and Evelyn Scheweitzer Cedars. She attended school at Crawfordsville. She married Kenneth Rogers. He is deceased. She married Albert L. “Mac” McKinsey on Oct. 21, 1989. He passed away Nov. 12, 2011.
Surviving family includes: son Kirk (Teresa) Rogers of Crawfordsville; brother Deb (Noreen) Cedars of Crawfordsville; grandson Brad (Mandy) Rogers; granddaughter Detra (Todd) Endicott; and three great-grandchildren, Peyton (Dalton) Nevitt, Lexi (Denny) Rogers and Jaylen Rogers.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister Delores Hollingsworth.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Ave. Services will begin at 2 p.m., led by Pastor Isaac Zull. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
