Marilyn Jane (Calvert) Wilbert, 78, of Darlington passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette.

She was born May 1, 1942, at Tilton, Kentucky, to the late Emitt and Nettie (Crump). On May 1, 1967, at Crawfordsville, she married her husband of more than 54 years, Glenn Alvin Wilbert. Glenn survives.

Marilyn graduated from Russellville High School in 1960. She began her working career at Inland Container, and then International Paper, where she was a crew leader for 23 years. She enjoyed sewing, making many things for her grandchildren, going antiquing with Glenn, and being with her family. She was the most pleasant person to be around. Marilyn was a member of Darlington First Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Wilbert; daughter Korina (Chris) Maxwell; granddaughters, Serenna Maxwell and Alicia (Mark) Zachery; grandson Travis Wilbert; daughter Teresa (Bill) Wilbert, grandsons, Trevor Hedrick and Taylor Hedrick; five great-grandchildren; sister Nellie Thompson; and brother Fred Calvert.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Glenn Wilbert Jr.; and siblings F.T. Calvert and Gerald Calvert.

Marilyn’s funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home, 301 E. Green St., Waveland, with Pastor Dean Kronke officiating. Burial will follow in Russellville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
