Marilyn Kay McCoy Crum, 86, of Kingman, Indiana, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 15, 2022, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.

Born Oct. 31, 1936, the daughter of J. Volna and Laura Marks McCoy of Tangier, Indiana.

She graduated from Tangier High School with the Class of 1954. She was elected Secretary of the Tangier Alumni Association and served in that position 43 years.

On Dec. 14, 1957, Marilyn McCoy and Kermit Dean Crum were married at the Bloomingdale Friends Parsonage. He survives her. Their family includes 4 children, Dennis Wayne (Christine) Crum of Kingman, Debra Lynne (Mitchell) Goodman of Bloomingdale, Steven Lee (Rebecca) Crum of Tangier and Larry Dean (Anita) Crum of Kingman; 11 grandchildren, Willis DeWayne (Nichole) Crum of Kingman, Rodney Phillip (Christian) Crum of Kingman, Heather Renee Toney of Rockville, Ryan Goodman of Rockville, Bradley Cole (Nichole) Lambert of Rockville, Jenna Leigh (Seth) Kilty of Fort Wayne, Erin Michelle (Lucas) Eitel of Marshall, Illinois, Joshua Caleb Crum of Tangier, Nathanial Lee Crum of Tangier, Brandy Kay (Melissa) Crum of Brownsburg and Jessica Joy (Dennis) Sexton of Alamo.

Also surviving are 17 great-grandchildren, Maddy Downs, Holly Jo Toney, Remi and Colt Goodman all of Rockville; Carter and Addyson Crum of Bloomingdale; Case Crum of Kingman; Gavin and Gunner Lambert of Rockville; Grace, Samuel, and Norah Kilty of Fort Wayne; Own and Logan Cooper, and Steven Eitel of Marshall, Illinois; Alex, Ziza, and Scarlett Sexton of Alamo; and Charlie Jo Crum of Brownsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was a member of Kingman United Methodist Church and severed as Sunday School Superintendent for several years and on other committees as well. She was also a member of Fountain Chapter #204 Order of the Eastern Star. She was District Deputy of District 16, Grand Martha for the Indiana Grand Chapter, a member of the Grand Choir, and was appointed Grand Representative of the Alabama Grand Chapter in Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Roberta McCoy Mershon and Marjorie McCoy Brown; and two brothers-in-law, John Mershon and Rodger Brown.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 19 at Spirit of Life Ministries, 505 W. State St., Kingman, with the Rev. Loren Stevens officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville.
