Martha Jo Weaver, 70, of Linden passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
She was born May 21, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Rebecca J. Weaver.
Martha received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Oklahoma State University. She started her career in Oklahoma until moving to Indiana to follow her parents in taking care of her grandparents, Van and Floyd Fraley. Martha worked at Purdue in their business department and retired early to take care of her father.
As a loving daughter, Martha held her family dear to her heart, fostering deep connections and creating a sense of unity among them. Her frugal nature and ability to find joy in the simplest of things inspired those who knew her to appreciate the little gifts in life. She was an avid bowler and extreme couponer. Martha was also a member of the Linden Historical Society and the former Linden United Methodist Church. Many got to hear her beautiful soprano voice. Throughout her life, Martha’s unwavering dedication to her family served as an inspiring anchor, guiding her actions and decisions. Her legacy of love and commitment will continue to impact all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Weaver of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; dear friends, Cindy and Curt Hudson of Crawfordsville; close family Christopher and Ashley Hudson, Lachlan Hudson; Jeramy and Courtney, Cassidy, Jayden Nethercutt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Bruce Weaver; and grandparents Floyd and Evangeline Fraley.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23 at Linden Cemetery.
