Mary Florence Gobel of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Ben Hur Health at the age of 89.
Mrs. Gobel was a member of the First Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She had her own beauty shop in her home for many years. She was an avid Pacers fan. She liked reading, traveling, shopping and going to Beef n Boards.
Born July 2, 1935, in Garfield, she was the daughter of Leslie Largent and Etha Largent. She attended school at New Market. She married Donald Gobel and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Cathy Taylor; son David Gobel; and five siblings, Virginia, Wilmer “Bud,” Waneta, Ethel and David “Red.”
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 23 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 11 a.m. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
