Max LeRoy Stull, 87, of Veedersburg passed away at 9:15 p.m. (CST) Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at VA Illiana Health Care, Danville, Illinois.

Max was born June 19, 1933, at Linden, the son of Forest Glen and Fay Pauline (Scott) Stull.

He had previously been married, and the surviving children from his marriage include: daughter Teresa Stull Saliu-Adedeji, Evansville; son Joseph (Christy) Stull, Frankfort; and daughter Debbie Woodard, Frankfort.

Max is also survived by his long-time companion of 45 years, Ruth Williams, Veedersburg; her sons, Allen (Carolyn) Williams, Monticello, and Curt (Sunshine) Williams, Veedersburg. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by son David Stull; two sisters, Martha Eades and Wildo Brakefield; and brother Guy Stull.

Max served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War on board the USS Pickaway 222. After the war Max was employed on the Nickleplate N&W Railroad in Linden and Frankfort. He was also employed at the Fountain Foundry for 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post #288 in Veedersburg. In his free time Max had enjoyed woodworking and painting around the house.

Private family service will be held at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg. Burial will follow at Osborn Prairie Cemetery near Veedersburg, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #288 and US Navy.
