MCHD offers vaccine information

In need of a COVID-19 vaccination? The Montgomery County Health Department has you covered.

The department offers the new Bivalent booster vaccine which covers the BA4 and BA5 variants of the Omicron virus. Residents can receive either Moderna, which is available to patients who are 18 years or older, or Pfizer, which is offered to patients who are 12 years and older.

The health department still offers the first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters — Moderna and Novavax which are offered to patients 18 years and older. Pfizer is offered to patients who are 12 years and older. As well as vaccines for babies and young children. The staff also has baby Moderna and baby Pfizer that range from 6 months to 4 years; this is a three-dose series. While there is a pediatric Pfizer that goes from 5 years to 11 years of age.

The local health department does vaccine clinics on Mondays and Fridays throughout the week. Mondays clinic is 3-5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Fridays.
