The Montgomery County United Fund board of directors announced Tuesday they have hired Gina Haile as the new area director.

“The MCUF board of director’s find Gina’s experience and skills in alignment with our mission and vision,” said Heather Shirk, president of the MCUF board of directors. “Her extensive work experience in non-profit and higher education will be a great asset as we continue to serve the people of Montgomery County. We couldn’t be more excited to have Gina on board.”

Haile, a Montgomery County resident, comes to MCUF with a wealth of experience in non-profits and higher education. She most recently was the grants coordinator for the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology & Religion at Wabash College. Prior to that, she worked in the Purdue University College of Pharmacy as an experiential learning program specialist. Her non-profit work included being the assistant director of the Tippecanoe County Historical Association, as well as the children’s ministry director/administrative director of UrbanPromise Ministries Inc. in Camden, New Jersey.

“It is an honor to be named as area director for the Montgomery County United Fund,” Haile said. “With a strong foundation of community support, a stellar board of directors, and impressive partner agencies that serve Montgomery County so well, I am excited to lead us forward. And as we conclude our 50th year of investing in this community, I would encourage everyone to join us in the 2020 campaign with a payroll deduction pledge or a one-time gift. All in for Montgomery County.”

Haile and her husband, Kevin, live in rural Montgomery County with their daughter, Camden. She is founding member and current secretary/treasurer of Waveland Strong.
