HILLSBORO — Myers Dinner Theatre presents “Miracle on 34th Street,” by Meredith Willson to the stage. This holiday musical, directed by TJ Bird, runs from Saturday through Dec. 22.
In “Miracle on 34th Street,” single mother, Doris Walker, doesn’t want her daughter Susan’s head filled with romantic notions. Their neighbor, Fred Gailey, tries to woo Doris by charming Susan and taking her to see Santa Claus at Macy’s, where Doris works. Doris is not impressed, but when it turns out that Macy’s Santa may, in fact, be the real Kris Kringle, a wave of love spreads across New York City that melts even the most cynical hearts.
Starring in this production are MDT alumni Rebecca Lea Evans (as Doris Walker), Caleb DeWitt (as Fred Gailey), Nathaniel Wright (as Kris Kringle); with Kinley Barney and Greta Shambarger (as Susan Walker), at selected performances.
Additional returning actors include Samantha Bagdon (Miss Sims/Ensemble), Hannah Bergman (Miss Crookshank/Ensemble), Charles Burr (Mr. Sawyer/Ensemble), Malcom Claeys (O’Halloran/Ensemble), Misty McGrady (Ensemble), Cameron Ponce (Judge Martin Group/Ensemble) and Teresa Ross (Clara/Ensemble).
New to the Myers’ stage are Andrew Meyer(Thomas Mara, Sr./Ensemble), Gregory Naman (Marvin Shellhammer) and Grant VanCamp (R.H. Macy/Ensemble). A number of local children will take the stage: Logan Deno and Hugo Meyer (as Tommy Mara) at selected performances; rounding out the children’s ensemble are Adelaide Klinger, Jade Kress, Lily Kress and Cecil Meyer.
“Miracle on 34th Street” will feature a food menu combining MDT favorites as well as traditional holiday fare. Selections will include: ham, pot roast with carrots and potatoes, turkey breast, dressing, candied yams, corn casserole and green beans; for dessert, pumpkin cobbler and iced sheet cake.
Several holiday events will be presented during the run of “Miracle on 34th Street”: Jake & Mikayla Rock This Christmas on Nov. 29, Breakfast with Santa on Nov. 30 and a concert by The Logan Kirby Band on Dec. 17. More information can be found at www.myersdt.com.
Wednesday matinee seating for meals is at 11:30 a.m. with curtain at 1:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening performances will have seating for meals at 6 p.m. with curtain at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinees will have seating for meals at noon and curtain at 2 p.m.

Regular theater prices are $59.54 for dinner and show, $47.50 for students (ages 4-18), and show-only for $39.50. Prices do not include taxes, handling fees or gratuity for waitstaff.
