A pair of Southmont volleyball players were named to all-state teams.
The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association selected Lexi Nelson to the Class 2A first-team, and Sidney Veatch to the second-team.
Nelson, a senior, set a school record with 630 kills on the season, and is headed to Urbana University to continue her career next fall. Veatch, a junior, led the Mounties with 922 assists, and 63 blocks. The duo led Southmont to a 24-11 record and the Mounties to their first sectional championship since 1993.
