Don and Bettie Myers of Waveland celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.
Don Myers and Bettie Whitecotton were married in Oklahoma during Don’s basic training for the Army. He then served in Europe during the Battle of the Bulge.
Last year they were awarded the Longest Married Couple State Winner from Worldwide Marriage Encounter. They have eight children, 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
