Nancy Rose Riddell of Crawfordsville went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Thursday evening, Dec. 10, 2020. She was 75.

Nancy loved collecting stuffed bears, crochet blankets and sitting on her deck watching birds and tending her pepper plants. She liked to go fishing and loved her kitties, especially Baby Boy. She really loved singing and loved Jesus. She attended churches in California and more recently at Calvary Chapel in Crawfordsville.

Nancy worked in reception and accounting at General Forming, then later worked for Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services for many years. She was a 1963 graduate of Ben Davis High School and earned an associate’s degree in accounting in Wilmington, California.

Born June 12, 1945, at Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Oscar Merrill and Gladys Wade Merrill. She married Larry Riddell on May 14, 2011, at Calvary Chapel. He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband Larry Riddle; daughters, Wendy Scott and Kandy (Joseph) Cover; adopted daughter, Rose Soltero; two grandsons, Jared Scott and Cody Scott; two great-grandsons, Xavier Scott and Ulric Scott.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Arthur Merrill.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Calvary Chapel, 915 Whitlock Ave., with services starting at 11 a.m., led by Pastor Dave Keesee. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
