WAVERLY, Iowa — Wabash College senior Will Neubauer will compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships after posting a career-best time in the 800-meter run at the Wartburg Qualifier.
Neubauer won the 800-meter race with a time of 1:51.30 for his career-best effort in the race. The time is also the fourth-quickest by a Division III men’s runner this season, all but guaranteeing he will be one of the 20 student-athletes competing at the national meet in Rochester, New York. Neubauers is expected to join teammate Brayden Curnutt, owner of the 19th-best time in the men’s 5,000-meter run, as of Saturday. Curnutt ran a 14:20.99 at the Midwest ELITE Invitational on Feb. 14.
Junior Quinn Sholar sits in a tie for 26th place in the weight throw after posting a mark of 18.23 meters (59 feet, 9.75 inches) at the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships last weekend. He will await the final declarations in the weight throw to learn if he will make the field of 20 throwers at the meet.
The 2025 NCAA DIII Championship takes place Friday and Saturday at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, New York.
