Norma Jean Strean, 94, of Veedersburg passed away at noon Monday Oct. 5, 2020, at The Waters in Covington.
Norma was born March 22, 1926, at Kingman, the daughter of Leslie W. and Mabel (Drake) Adkins. She married James L. Strean on Nov. 23, 1948, at Veedersburg. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 2003.
She is also preceded in death by son Michael and sister-in-law Margie Adkins.
Surviving family include: daughter Cindy (Brian) McGuire, Batavia, Ohio; brother James Adkins, Lafayette; granddaughter Erin (Matthew) Kingsley, Fort Thomas, Kentucky; and great-grandsons, Owen and Benjamin Kingsley.
Norma graduated from Kingman High School in 1944. She was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church; where she was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group and the church choir.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday Oct. 10 at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg. Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday Oct. 10 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Veedersburg United Methodist Church.
