EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Old National Bancorp (ONB) on Monday reported first-quarter net income of $86.8 million.
On a per-share basis, the Evansville, Indiana-based company said it had profit of 52 cents.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 40 cents per share.
The holding company for Old National Bank posted revenue of $215.9 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $208.3 million, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $205.5 million.
Old National Bancorp shares have increased 16% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 43% in the last 12 months.
