Pam's Promise offers thanks

Pam’s Promise would like to thank Rock Point Church Summer Serve Program for its support this summer. Earlier in the summer a group of women led by team lead Kristi Mangold tirelessly worked on several projects over the summer to improve Pam’s Promise transitional houses. Kristi’s team included Rachel Metsker, Tracy Livesay, Amy Davie, Eleesha Smith, Stephanie Gleason, Cindy Stevens, Jennifer Shadle, Elizabeth Zuk, Sara Seiferman, Katie Baird, Lilia Williams and Eli Donovan. This group of 13 women painted bedrooms, power washed one of the houses, planted ground cover for easier maintenance, laid two brick walkways, weeded, cleared out and hauled away brush, and planted new landscaping plants.

We also thank Ken Cushman and the group of guys that worked with him to replace worn out flooring in the bathroom and kitchen of one of the Pam’s Promise houses one evening this past week. Ken’s group, along with Pam’s Promise board member Alan Zachary, included Terry Wear, Mark Suiter, and Pastor Terry Thompson. These five hard working guys did a super job and truly blessed Pam’s Promise and the women and children who live at that house.

Pam’s Promise would also like to thank Sovereign Grace Church in Bainbridge for providing the manpower and equipment to take down an old garage at one of its houses. The group of men, led by Warren Whitesell and David Mitchell, rented a skid steer to take down the garage, provided a dumpster to haul away debris, laid fresh gravel, and cleaned up the yard around the area to create much needed parking space at that location for clients, staff, and new admissions into the program.

The staff and board are thankful for these hard-working church groups who gave of themselves this summer! Their willingness to serve in this way plays a huge part in providing a healthy and safe environment for homeless women in the community as they work to transition into stable sustainable housing of their own.

Thank you for giving your time and energy to help Pam’s Promise and the community! We appreciate you!

The Board and Staff of Pam’s Promise Transitional Housing Corp.
