VEEDERSBURG — Fountain Central hosted the Wabash River Conference Tennis Tournament finals on Monday. Parke Heritage finished as champions.
The single elimination tournament consisted of one singles tourney and one doubles tourney.
In the semi-finals Seegers’ Zach Reynolds defeated Fountain Central’s Seth Hoagland 7-5, 6-1. In the other semi-final singles Parke Heritage’s Lewie Woody defeated Fountain Central’s Gabe McCollum 6-1, 6-0.
Reynolds won the singles championship by defeating McCollum 6-3, 6-4.
In the doubles tournament, Seeger’s Macyn Hughes and Garrett Cooksey defeated Parke Heritage’s Leon Goessi and Parker Hopkins 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
Earning all-conference honors were Seeger’s Reynolds, Cooksey and Hughes. Parke Heritage landed three players on the honors team. They were Woody, Goessi and Hopkins. Fountain Central’s McCollum and Hoagland also earned all-conference.
