God's Good News For Today

Passing trials

Posted

You know that all of us have trials, but most of them are passing in nature. They usually come for a reason, and thankfully, just last for a season. Don’t get locked into the negative mindset, thinking your circumstances will never change or that they will defeat you.

Remember in Luke 8:23-25, when the Lord Jesus sent His disciples out in the boat to go to the other side of the sea of Galilee and the Lord takes a nap, “But as they sailed He fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake: and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, master, master we perish. Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And He said unto them, “Where is your faith?”

As Christians we were never called to live a life without trials or trouble. We are not shielded from the adversity of this life, but we are called upon to have faith in our God in the midst of our storms.

Remember that God is with you, you do not have to be defeated or overcome by the storms that overtake us. We can face them and overcome them by our faith in Jesus Christ. You have the victory because the Great and Mighty God is with you. Live today in this truth and allow it to bring peace and joy to your heart and life. Remember that He is the source of our strength and our faith.
