It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Patricia Darlene Stearman, who passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, while at home. A pillar of love, kindness, and wisdom, she touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Our beautiful mother was the embodiment of unconditional love. Whether she was sharing a heartfelt laugh, offering a shoulder to lean on, or simply being present, she made everyone around her feel valued and cared for. Her warmth was unparalleled, her compassion boundless, and her strength inspiring.
Born on March 27, 1949, Patty grew up in Crawfordsville, where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved with her whole heart and would give anyone the shirt off her back.
Her biggest blessing in life was being a mother and she was the best most loving mom. She loved her children Angel and Jesse wholeheartedly and over the years they have blessed her with eight beautiful grandchildren that have filled her life with so much love and purpose.
Her greatest gift was her ability to make everyone feel special. Whether through her wise advice, heartfelt chats, or infectious laughter, she built lasting bonds that will forever be cherished.
Patty’s loving spirit is carried on by her partner, Armando Quezada; her children, Angelique (Derrick) Ekstrom and Jesse (Leah) Guerrero; her eight beautiful grandchildren, Denise Lorenz, Arlo and Fenleigh Ekstrom, Jordan, Cruz, Carson, Mila and Aurora Guerrero.
Her siblings, Joe (Jan) Gill, Cecil Gill, Sye (Judy) Gill, Robin (Tina) Edwards, James Edwards, Jessica Edwards, Dixie (Ricardo) Rosales and Janice Reyes, along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her deeply.
She is reunited with her sweet baby Deanna Fairfield; her mother, Betty McClure; father Sye Gill; and her beloved sisters, Emma Crouch and Kim Hall in the eternal embrace of peace and love.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on a later date.
Though she is no longer with us in person, her legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in our hearts. Rest peacefully, dearest Patty. You will always be remembered, always be loved, and always be missed.
