Patrick Madden of rural Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at I.U. Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was 74.
Born Nov. 12, 1945, at Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frances and Margaret (Orth) Madden. He attended school in Ohio. He retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation at Lizton.
Patrick was a “jack of all trades,” enjoying NASCAR, tinkering in the garage, yard work, working with his hands, woodworking and especially enjoyed being with his grandkids.
On April 6, 2005, he married Jessica Baker. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Charlotte (Randy) Poole of Crawfordsville, Tim (Lisa) Madden of Florida, Tamara Madden of North Carolina, Bill (Brenda) Madden of Crawfordsville, Amanda (Jeremy) Johnson of Bloomingdale and Heather Madden of Greencastle; step-daughter Elizabeth Gatlin of Crawfordsville; brother Mike Madden Sr. of Tennessee; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
