Paula Marie Pribble, BSN, RN, CMSRN, CVN-BC of Seymour, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, at U.T. Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee, surrounded by family.
She was born Aug. 5, 1961, to parents Kathryn (Leroy) Pratt and William Henry Martin in Danville, Illinois.
Most of her professional life was committed to caring for others. Her nursing career started as a Candy Striper, then progressed to Nurse’s Aide, LPN, RN, and many nursing specialty degrees that followed. She was previously employed by Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation in Crawfordsville, Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and the last 12 years at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
Paula was a Jehovah’s Witness attending services at Kingdom Hall in Seymour. She enjoyed going to Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains to see nature and the bears, New Found Gap and the Cherokee Reservation. A favorite pastime was to go to Dollywood to ride the train, and to see the shows; especially when Randy Parton was singing.
Paula is preceded in death by her mother and beloved aunt Pauline.
Survivors include: her husband of 41 years, Vernard L. Pribble Sr.; sons, Vernard L. Pribble Jr. of Seymour, Tennessee, and Justin P. Pribble of Knoxville, Tennessee; twin brother Paul Martin of Covington and brothers, Mike Leroy of Kansas, Illinois, Dwight Martin of Seymour, Tennessee, David Pratt of Alvin, Illinois, and Skip Pratt of Danville, Illinois; sisters, Veronica Johnson and Brenda Camarata, both of Danville, Illinois, and Bekki Troutman and Doreen Gabehart, both of Westville, Illinois.
Paula was a special loving person and will forever be missed by her co-workers, friends at Kingdom Hall, and especially her family.
