Peggy Ann Durham Caldwell went to be the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Traditions Hunter Station in Sellersburg, Indiana, at the age of 99.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Open Door Sunday School class, Keenagers Group and served in various capacities in her lifetime. She was a 55-year member of Harmony 18 Home Demonstration Extension Club. She worked in various department stores and after the death of her husband, received an insurance license and was affiliated with AFLAC Insurance.
Born June 26, 1925 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Marion Youce Durham and Thelma Durham Fullenwider. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1943. She married Charles C. Caldwell Sept. 9, 1944, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He passed away Jan. 25, 1978.
Surviving family includes: two sons, Michael A. Caldwell (Paula) of Sellersburg and Craig E. Caldwell (Cindy) of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren, Andrea Olinger (Scott) of Sellersburg, Douglas Caldwell of Sellersburg, Ericia Church (Brian) of Crawfordsville and Steven Caldwell (Sara) of Salt Lake City; five great-grandsons, Alec Olinger and Evan Olinger, both in Sellersburg; Logan Cromeenes of Crawfordsville; Remi Caldwell and Leo Caldwell of Salt Lake City; the mother of Ericia and Steven, Judith Fifer of Crawfordsville.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue.
