Peggy Lynn Behr, 74, of Crawfordsville passed away surrounded by her family on June 16, 2024, after a 16-month long battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Indianapolis, to Curtis and Naomi Miller McGinnis, on Nov. 30, 1949.
Peggy retired from RR Donnelley after 35 years working in customer service. On July 27, 1981, Peggy married the love of her life Robert Behr. Together they raised two daughters.
Peggy enjoyed attending her granddaughter Marley’s activities, reading and making beautiful seasonal cards. She was known for cakes and cupcakes, was an avid Indiana Hoosier fan, and really enjoyed working in her flower beds.
Surviving family include: husband Robert Behr; daughters, Delaney Behr and Courtney (Shawn) Verhey; granddaughter Marley Lynn; and siblings, Vanessa Goodwin, Toni Ferch, Chip Ferch, Tracy Ferch; and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews ... too dang many to count.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kent McGinnis.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 6, with service to immediately follow at 4 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Animal Shelter as Peggy was known for pulling over on the side of the road to rescue stray dogs.
