The Parke Heritage Middle School academic team competed in the Indiana Academic Super Bowl virtual contest on May 3. With a theme of “The American Woman,” contestants were quizzed on science, social studies, math, English and interdisciplinary questions based on the theme. There were 40 middle school teams from across the state that were in Class 4. Two of the teams placed in the Top Ten in the state. The English team earned fourth place and the science team placed eighth. The interdisciplinary team was 15th. English team members were Shelby Robertson, Maddison Fisher, Brenna Mager and Avery Myers. They were coached by Whitney Anderson. The science team members were DJ Laws and Drew Lough. The science team was coached by Haley Roach. Other team members are Lucas Rhoads, Taya Sturmer, Nate Woodard, Harlee Flood, Brennan Cox, Treyton Burgess and Hallie Miller. The teams were coached by Kylie Gates, Whitney Anderson, Molly Blystone and Haley Roach.
