The Rockville Rotary Club recently hosted (on left) Rotary Past District Governor Jim Graham from Brownsburg at their meeting held in the family room at the Thirty-Six Saloon in Rockville. Rockville Rotary president Bonnie Hobbs (on right) presented a check from the Rockville Rotary Club for the polio eradication program known as Polio Plus. Graham shared a PowerPoint presentation about the Rotary Foundation and Polio Plus program. He said polio only remains endemic in three countries: Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan. Rotary has helped immunized over 2.5 billion children in 122 countries during the last 30 years. It is hoped Nigeria can be declared polio free by the end of this year.
