Meadows sets school record
Southmont golfer Addison Meadows continues to break records for the Mounties. On Thursday, the senior shot a personal best and school record of 4-under-par 31 as her team swept a three-way meet against Cascade and Greencastle.
Southmont shot a team score of 180 followed by Cascade with a 213 and Greencastle which had an incomplete team.
Two other Mounties shot personal bests. Addison Kendricks and Kate Myers recorded scores of 45 and 51, respectively. Kesley Thompson shot a 53.
VOLLEYBALL
CHS defeats Seeger
Crawfordsville played Seeger at home Thursday and defeated the Patriots 3-0. Set scores were 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.
Reese Price had 14 kills and Ally Strickland added 10 kills. Claire Peacock recorded 28 assists.
Emma Buser was a perfect 14-for-14 in serving.
Crawfordsville improved their record to 6-2 and will travel to Lebanon on Tuesday for a big Sagamore Conference contest.
Chargers fall to Warriors
Danville traveled to North Montgomery for the final Sagamore Conference volleyball game and defeated the Chargers 3-0 on Thursday.
Game scores were 7-25, 14-25, 19-25.
Junior Hope Delp led North with six kills. Senior Piper Ramey served two aces.
“We are still working on a rotation that works best for us”, North Montgomery Coach Taylor Pierce said. “We are getting better and excited for next week.”
The Chargers (3-6, 0-2) travel to Southmont on Tuesday for a county and SAC contest.

Mounties earn first win
Southmont earned a 5-0 victory over South Vermillion for their initial win of the season.
Mountie Gavin Downey defeated Walt Beardsley 7-6 (7-1), 6-0 in No. 1 singles.
Southmont’s No. 2 singles player, Caden Allen, defeated Aidan Lacey 6-2, 6-3 and No. 3 singles player Colton Cory beat Carl Biddle 6-1, 6-0.
In No. 1 doubles, Owen McCutchan and Dean McGaughey beat Landon Downe 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) and the No. 2 doubles team of Eden Hernandez and Chazz Long defeated Blake Buckingham and Nate Etherington 6-2, 6-3.
The Mounties (1-3) will play Saturday in the Western Boone Invitational and at Seeger on Tuesday.
Mustangs defeat Bison
Fountain Central continued its winning ways at home Thursday by defeating Benton Central 4-1.
Mustang No. 1 singles player Gabe McCollum defeated Landon Hardebeck 6-1, 7-5. Fountain Central’s No. 2 player, Skyler Hoagland topped Drew Brown 6-0, 6-1. No. 3 singles Ayden Batchelor beat Brody Cox 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action, Mustangs William Armstrong and Jose Duarte-Grajales defeated Easton Galletta and Sam Tolen 62, 6-2.
The Bison lone win came at No. 1 doubles when Bennett Senesac and Luke Buchannon defeated Mustangs Levi McTagertt and Levi Miller 6-0, 6-2.
Fountain Central travels to county rival Covington on Tuesday.

Chargers fall to Frankfort
North Montgomery fell to 0-3 with a Thursday loss to Sagamore Conference foe Frankfort. The Hot Dogs beat the home-standing Chargers 12-3.
North Montgomery freshman Sam Woolwine scored two goals and junior Braydin Osborne scored one goal.
The Chargers will play at 11 a.m. Saturday at Western Boone.
