Chargers down Patriots
North Montgomery got a road win Tuesday at Seeger. The Chargers won a close game 47-43.
North led 27-18 at the half but Seeger narrowed the score to 37-34 in the third quarter.
The Chargers outscored Seeger 10-9 in the final quarter despite only hitting 4-of-11 free throws in the fourth period.
North was led by senior Krestyn Bradford’s 12 points. Piper Ramey added 11 points.
The Chargers (14-7, 2-3 SAC) will host Lebanon (8-11, 3-2 SAC) Saturday in a girl/boy doubleheader.
WRESTLING
Southmont drops meet to Wolves
Southmont was defeated Tuesday at home by Parke Heritage 43-36.
Winning for the Mounties were Cooper Scott (120, by fall), Thomas Woods (132, by fall), Camden Laney (138, by fall) and Josh Elliott (144, by fall).
Mounties receiving forfeits were Lukas Scott (106) and Jackson Fruits (125).
The Mounties will participate Saturday in the Culver Military Academy Invitational.
GYMNASTICS
North competes at invite
North Montgomery competed Saturday in the Franklin Central Invitational.
The Chargers placed 13th out of 18 teams.
Taylor Hudson scored a 8.15 on the vault for the most notable score for the Chargers.
North Montgomery will travel today to Lafayette Jefferson for a meet with the Broncos and the Harrison Raiders of West Lafayette.
SWIMMING
North splits with McCutcheon
North Montgomery’s girls swim team defeated McCutcheon 120-66. The Charger boys lost 105-75.
No individual statistics were made available.
The Chargers travel today to Lebanon.
