Wolves win conference
Park Heritage won the Wabash River Conference Golf Championship on Tuesday. The Wolves shot a season best 311.
Parke Heritage’s Brayden Luce was the medalist with a score of 73.
Fountain Central placed fifth with a score of 377.
The Mustang scores were Eli Foxworthy 91, Ayden Donaldson 93, Will Armstrong 95, Dakoda Willoughby 98 and Alan Blankenship 102.
Other scores in order of placing were South Vermillion 342, Covington 351, Riverton Parke 370, Attica 383 and Seeger 398.
Next up for all areas teams will be the golf sectional today at Harrison Hills Golf Club in Attica.
SOFTBALL
Barry earns honors
Southmont freshman Ella Barry was named to the Class A/2A third team all-state team. Barry was a pitcher for the 15-10 Mounties with a 2.74 ERA with nine wins. Barry led the team with a .434 batting average with eight homeruns and collected 26 RBI.
