Chargers sweep Lebanon
North Montgomery traveled Thursday to Sagamore Athletic Conference rival Lebanon and won 8-5 sweeping the conference series.
The Chargers had 14 hits in the game.
Three Charger pitchers, Cayden Keller, Keaton Brown and Aiden Ambriz-Cruz surrendered a combined seven hits to the Tigers. Brown recorded the win.
Five North players had at least two hits including Nolyn Brown who was 3-for-4 in the game.
Ambriz-Cruz stole his 20th and 21st bases of the season and added two runs giving him 30 on the season.
North Montgomery scored three runs in the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie.
The Chargers (12-5, 5-4 SAC) traveled Friday to Benton Central and will entertain Clinton Prairie at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Mustangs top Attica
Fountain Central beat Wabash River Conference rival Attica 8-0 on Thursday.
Mustang Ayden Batchelor recorded the shut out win by surrendering four hits and striking out nine Red Ramblers.
Fountain Central scored seven runs in the second inning despite only have two hits, both by Wyatt Clark, the entire game. Four Attica errors contributed to the Mustang runs.
Fountain Central (5-14, 5-7 WRC) will host North Putnam (6-9) on Monday.

Mustangs fall to Attica
Fountain Central dropped their game Thursday at Attica by a score of 10-7.
With the Mustangs leading 1-0 after one full inning, Attica scored seven runs in the second inning on five hits.
The Mustangs tried to make a comeback by scoring five runs in the last three innings but found the Red Rambler lead too tough to overcome.
Fountain Central’s Keylee Stonebraker and Olivia Jones each had two hits.
Fountain Central (5-13, 2-10 WRC) will travel Monday to Clinton Prairie.
TENNIS
Mounties win SAC match
Southmont defeated Sagamore Athletic Conference foe Frankfort 4-1 on Thursday.
Jozee Jones was a winner at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0 and Maggie Gilliland won via default at No. 3 singles.
In doubles action, Clair Simpson and Savannah Bradley won at No.1 singles 6-2, 6-1, and Flora Nunes and Claire McCutchan won at No. 2 doubles 6-2, 6-0.
The Mounties are now 4-6 on the season.
Mustangs topple Bronchos
Fountain Central defeated Lafayette Jefferson 4-1 on Thursday at home, running their record to 12-1.
Winning for the Mustangs was No. 2 singles Elise Webb (4-6, 6-1, 10-3) and No. 3 singles Laney Hoagland (6-2, 6-1).
The Mustangs’ No. 1 doubles team of Lilly Peterson and Hannah Prickett won 6-0, 6-1. Fountain Central’s No. 2 doubles team of Josie Harshbarger and Savannah Bowers won 6-1, 6-1.
The Mustangs are holding their own invitational Saturday with Lebanon, McCutcheon and South Putnam. Start time is 9 a.m. in Veedersburg.
