Chargers get first win of the season

The North Montgomery girls’ basketball team traveled to Eminence on Tuesday and came home with a 48-27 victory.

Charger Piper Ramey scored 20 points. Macee Norman contributed seven points. Ella McManomy and Krestyn Bradford each score six points.

North Montgomery (1-1) led 27-11 at halftime when Ramey scored 12 of her points total.

The Chargers entertain Frontier in Charger Gym today and will host Attica on Friday.

 

Mustangs notch win

The Fountain Central girls’ basketball team defeated Clinton Central 32-26 on Tuesday. The come-from-behind win was keyed by efficient free throw shooting in the second half.

The Mustangs now stand at 2-1 and Clinton Central drops to 2-1.

Fountain Central will host Lafayette Jefferson today.

 

Mounties suffer close loss to Falcons

The Southmont girls’ basketball team lost a heartbreaker to North Vermillion on Tuesday by a score of 60-59. The Falcons outscored the Mounties 23-15 in the final quarter to secure the win.

Southmont (1-2) travels to Clinton Prairie today.
