Bronchos tame Mustangs

Lafayette Jefferson defeated Fountain Central 45-38 Thursday on the Mustangs’ home court.

The Bronchos led 13-10 at halftime and the game remained close the rest of the way.

Leading scorers for Fountain Central were Bella Bacon with nine points and Rylee Simko with eight points, Brailey Hoagland and Hannah Prichett each scored six points.

Fountain Central (3-2) is hosting Rossville at 11 a.m. today.

 

Chargers 7th grade wins two games

North Montgomery Middle School’s seventh grade boys’ team defeated Fountain Central 37-13 on Thursday to improve their record to 3-2.

Leading scorers for North were Bryson Lough with 12. Cash Cole and Will Dark scored 10 and nine points, respectively.

On Wednesday, the team defeated Cascade 40-17. Lough and E.J. Frizarry scored 15 and 10 points, respectively. Ethan King scored six points.

North Montgomery’s seventh and eighth grade teams played Fountain Central at home on Thursday.

The Chargers will play in the Frankfort Invitational on Saturday.

 

Cadets defeat North 8th grade

Cascade defeated North Montgomery Middle School’s eighth grade basketball team 35-19. The Chargers played Fountain Central at home on Thursday.
