Chargers win dual meet
North Montgomery girls’ swim and dive team defeated Danville and Greencastle on Tuesday in a home dual meet. North Montgomery defeated Danville 111 to 71 and North Montgomery defeated Greencastle 135 to 53.
The Chargers won six events. Leading the way was junior Dusty Robinson who won the 200 Free (2:11.59), 100 Fly (1:08.55) and joined Katelyn Woolwine, Kate Merica and Kylie Sankey to win the 200 Free Relay (1:50.92).
Sankey also won the 100 Free (58.25). Ava Kilgour won the 200 IM (2:29.63) and Brooklyn Kerns won the 500 Free (6:04.13).
The closest race of the meet was the 200 Medley Relay. Danville edged out Chargers Woolwine, Kerns, Sankey and Kilgour. Danville’s winning time was 2:05.49 and North’s time was 2:05.56.
Next up for the Chargers will be a conference meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at Frankfort.
Mustangs defeat WRC rivals
Fountain Central’s girls’ swim and dive team traveled Tuesday to Attica and defeated North Vermillion, Covington and Parke Heritage in a four-way meet. It was the first meet of the season for all the teams involved.
Fountain Central first place finishers were Mia Nix, Aubrey Meihls, Haley Kler and Lexi Willoughby in the 200 Medley Relay. Katie Dillon won the 200 Free and the 500 Free. Peyton Hocking won diving and Lilly Peterson won the 100 Breast.
No times were made available.
The Mustangs travel to Western Boone today. The meet begins at
6 p.m.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Chargers defeat Frankfort
North Montgomery defeated Frankfort 44-15 in their home Sagamore Athletic Conference opener.
Piper Ramey scored 22 points in three quarters. Macee Norman added 11 points.
North Montgomery (4-1, 1-0 SAC) will face Crawfordsville in the 6 p.m. game of the Sugar Creek Classic at Southmont on Friday.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Charger 7th grade defeats Clinton Central
North Montgomery’s seventh grade team defeated Clinton Central 50-5 at home on Tuesday.
The Chargers were led by Cash Cole, Tucker Green and Kaden Grundy who each scored eight points.
Ten Chargers scored in the game.
