FC places fourth at invite
Fountain Central boys wrestling placed fourth at the Mike Atwood Invitational at Delphi on Saturday.
The Mustangs were led by two champions, Dakoda Willoughby (144) and Caylum Wills (175). Both wrestlers finished 5-0 on the day. Dallas Simmons (120) finished in second place with a 3-2 record.
Next up for the Mustangs is the North Montgomery/Fountain Central Thanksgiving Sports Spectacular today at North Montgomery.
GIRLS WRESTLING
Chargers finish 8th at invite
North Montgomery participated in Saturday’s Clinton Prairie Invitational and finished eighth out of 49 teams.
Charger Hailey Kunz (145) placed second and Paige Yarger (155) placed third.
“Overall, I was super proud with how we wrestled today,” Charger coach Lincoln Kyle said. “The girls competed well and gave great effort. We were aggressive in every single match which is all I ask. We are heading in the right direction and continuing to grow.”
Haylee Gemino placed fourth overall.
North Montgomery will wrestle against Fountain Central today at home in the North Montgomery/Fountain Central Thanksgiving Sports Spectacular.
