Regina Sue Trent, 58, of Greencastle passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born June 13, 1962, at Crawfordsville, to the late Floyd “Doc” and Shirley Ann (Mills) Surface Jr. She married Steven R. Trent on April 10, 1981, at Morton. Steven preceded her in death June 26, 2016.
Regina graduated with the class of 1980 from Southmont High School. She began working at Wabash College and later DePauw University where she currently worked in food service. She loved working with food, and truly cared about the students she came into contact with. She loved everything about the holidays, decorating, crafts and spending time with her daughter Jessi, her granddaughters and her friends. She is survived by daughter Jessica (Roger) Boller; granddaughters, Kiersten and Kailen; siblings, Randy (Jayne) Surface, Rita (Gene) Starnes and Rodney (Elisa) Surface; several nieces and nephews; aunt Frieda Dozier; and brothers-in law, David (Susan) Trent and Jeffrey (Ann) Trent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Melvin and Wendylene Trent.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Bainbridge Cemetery, with Pastor David Finch officiating. Mask will be required and social distancing will be expected. Servies & Morgan Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
