Roachdale Ribs & Blues Festival returns

ROACHDALE — After canceling in 2020, the Roachdale Revitalization Cooperative Alliance has announced the date for the seventh annual Roachdale Rib & Blues Festival on Saturday.

Gates will open at noon and music will begin at 2 p.m.

“We are keeping this a free event for our attendees this year, but we would appreciate donations to sustain the festival and to fund our tree planting and town park improvement projects,” said

Joe Buser, president of the RRCA.

“Our mission is to keep everyone as safe as possible this year, so if you’re not feeling well, please wait and attend next year,” Buser added.

Sanitizing stations provided by Putnam County Hospital will be available.

The entertainment line up is as follows:

• 2 p.m. — The Fret Set

• 3 p.m. — Tad Robinson with special guest Gordon Botham

• 5 p.m. — Black Market Vinyl Band

• 7 p.m. — Dave Morgan and Al Stratyner

• 8 p.m. — Jennie DeVoe

Beer will be sold by Big Lug Brewing and wine by Blackhawk Winery. Food vendors include Hatchet House BBQ, Wally’s Food Truck, Delta Theta Tau and Off The Rails Catering.
