The Robotics Teams at North Central Parke Schools held a scrimmage recently to showcase their robots and to practice their robotic skills.

Team members from Parke Heritage Middle School, Rockville Elementary and Turkey Run Elementary faced off against each other.

During the scrimmage, the squads moved their robots along a field to move and stack towers in an attempt to score points. The VEX IQ Challenge Rise Above is played on a 6 ft. x 8 ft. rectangular field. Two robots compete in the Teamwork Challenge for 60-second long teamwork matches. Each match consists of two partners working together to complete the challenge. Each partner must have a turn at moving the
robot about the field. First place winners at the scrimmage were Wyatt Shirley, Lucas Hutchens, Keegan Myers, Ashlyn Gillogly, Laney Crowder, Tori Harmon and Ella Vandivier. Earning second place were Alli Busenbark, Cian Todd, Lucas Busenbark, Jacob Stevens, Crafton Malicoat, Mason Larson, Bo Thompson, Tim Razaitis, Wesley Pratt, Stephen Jessee, Max Swaim, Dylan Jackson and Seth Adams.
